I'm finally with Joseph and it has been so surreal and wonderful. I left last January 17, 2012 and arrived the next day. It was such an exhausting flight because I had to go on 3 different airplanes. My route was:
Manila to Tokyo - 3 hours +
Tokyo to Seattle - 9 hours +
Seattle - lay over of 8 hours plus it was so cold because there was a snow storm arriving later that night
Seattle to Boise - 1 hour + and we had to board the plane outside with freezing winds blowing
I had a total of 15 hours travel time excluding the lay over and intervals between flights. Yes, I looked like a truck hit me twice. My hair was BLAH, my face was never mind, and my body clock was screwed. Even now it's still a bit lopsided. But the important thing is that I'm here.
I would have loved to take pictures while I was on the trip, but I didn't bring my camera with me. I did take a few videos. I'll take a lot more pictures during the next few days, it's quite hard not having a digital camera to carry around with me. I'm just using an iphone.
It's snowing right now, and I heard It'll be snowing for the next week. The first time I saw snow, I thought:
"Wow, I didn't think it would look so fine and white."
It was seriously like finely grounded, super white flour. NO, I did not lay down on it, nor did I touch it. I was too cold to bother. All I thought was that I had to go straight to the car where heat is available. I get really cold easily and it's a problem. I will show you my first winter outfit of the day...I don't know if you guys would care, but I included it in my video. I showed two outfits already. It was a great thing my mom made me pack so much winter stuff because Summer isn't gonna be too close here in Idaho.
The highlight of my arrival date was when we went to Hooters at Boise for dinner. A hot (in my opinion, Joseph thinks otherwise) blonde waitress asked for our order and chimed:
:Well, I don't know if you're old enough to drink."
LOL. I had to speak out and tell her I'm 24. If you're wondering why she said that...here's a picture of me in Hooters.
Yep, I wouldn't blame her. I look like I'm 12 or 14 or something like that. Well, the people here are really nice and friendly. Nobody really cares about what you're wearing, how you look, I even saw a few people wear pajamas in Walmart. Joseph says it's a typical Walmart outfit. I haven't seen anyone wear makeup here, except in Boise. I loved that waitress' makeup, it fit her real well and damn the outfit was pretty provocative in Philippine moral standards. She was literally wearing pek-pek shorts.
Speaking of Walmart, I got a few things from there, aside from the major household items we needed to get ASAP I also purchased the raved about Revlon lip butter and Maybelline Bouncy Blush. I will be doing a haul video soon and will try to keep track of the prices next time because I kind of slacked on that. If you don't follow me on Twitter, I suggest you do. All these pictures I pretty much tweeted. Here's the lip butter and blush
I really need a vanity for my makeup and accessories. My baggage is majorly composed of them and they're scattered on the carpet. We're getting a bed with mattress, dresser, and a few other house things this coming 29th so I'm excited. It's too bad I can't easily find those small plastic drawers like the ones back in the Philippines. They would have made my life so much easier, storage-wise. I went to the thrift store to look at a few containers, but felt sick and had to go home and rest. I'll probably do it when the furniture we ordered arrives.
I won't be able to film tutorials any time soon because we have to clean up our extra room/studio/makeup room. It has legit lighting system, Joseph's lenses and camera are there. I'm SO EXCITED! For now, I'll be doing a haul and updates. I hope you will continue to support my channel. I'll be doing a give away soon, so stay tuned for that.
