A Visit To DollFace Cosmetics' Studio

Yesterday was Joseph's last day in Cebu. We could have spent it in a "special" way but we needed to run some errands because I will be out of town for roughly two weeks.

We met up with Pearl of DollFace Cosmetics at her make-up studio.

It was the first time I set foot in that place and I was pretty excited. I personally think that this studio-slash-supply shop is a milestone for Cebuana Beauty Patrons; it features a lot of international and online brands. That means we don't have to worry about shipping fees and ordering online, or worrying about the condition of the items because we can actually see them.

We hung out at Cafe Noir, the coffee place beside the studio. Joseph finally had his turon fix for sixty bucks with free coffee. Isn't that awesome? Their blended beverages are so good and sell for less than a hundred bucks. I think I'll be going back to that place for a review, just so you guys can check it and enjoy it too.

I was invited to dinner at Cafe Laguna with Sophie of Beauty and Minerals along with Pearl, Noe, and other Cebuana beauty bloggers last Friday, August 20, 2011, but I couldn't go. So, Pearl handed me one of the Charm brush goodies.

I was so excited when I saw it was the popular Charm Luxe Flat Top Brush

I remember someone telling me to try this because it's really good. I guess I will find out for myself. I brought it with me all the way here in Pampanga. I doubt I'll be wearing that much make-up but I will definitely test this baby out. I have used it once or twice and it's pretty smooth on the face and I love the control it gives me when buffing product on my face because of the flat top.

On the other hand, I finally got my hands on the DollFace Cosmetics Barenaked Palette. It is such a beauty! The eyeshadows are bigger than my 88 Earth Color palette, and there are so many neutral shades to choose from. There are warm to smoky eye colors, to cool earth tones. Ugh. LOVE IT.

Another treat for me that day was this gorgeous travel-friendly eyeshadow palette called the Jetset Palette, still from DollFace Cosmetics. It's the cutest thing ever! I'm glad I got this just in time before leaving for Manila.  Thank you to Joseph for gifting me with this special little thing.

DollFace Cosmetics' has another travel-friendly palette. It comes with a removable mini palette that you can interchange, depending on what mood you are in and what colors you feel like wearing. For a clear picture of how this works, check out this video:

All in all, it was a wonderful day. I felt like it was my birthday because of all the goodies I got. Even though it was time for Joseph to leave Cebu, I focused on the brighter side of things. I hope great things are in store for us in Pampanga and Manila.
