DIY tinted moisturizer + Makeup Tutorial

You've probably seen or read so many tutorials on how to make your own tinted moisturizer. I just wanted to stress that you really don't have to buy one. It's pretty easy to make and in my experience, it works generally well.

I use the following products:
  • cream foundation - James Cooper Jazzy cream foundation
  • or a cream concealer - DollFace Cosmetics 15 pc concealer palette
  • moisturizer - Simple Hydrating moisturizer
  • spatula
  • any flat surface you can mix your products in
  1. Get a pea-sized amount of cream foundation or concealer using your spatula or preferred scraper and put it on your mixing plate.
  2. Add generous amounts of moisturizer enough for your face and neck.
  3. Mix both very well using your spatula and make sure there are no clumps.
  4. Once the consistency is just right, you are now ready to apply this to your face suing a stippling or buffing brush. I prefer these two because they give a more even finish when used with a tinted moisturizer.
What I love about this is that it sets in your skin really well so it doesn't look like you have face makeup on. It effectively evens out your skin tone and lightly conceals redness and small blemishes. It also keeps your face moisturized especially on these hot Summer days. If you have oily skin, use a primer and setting spray and don't forget your skin care routine.

The only issue I have with this is that it doesn't work well for those with heavy acne scars and breakouts. As I've mentioned, it has light coverage so no matter how much you pack this ting on your face, it won't cover it.
