Laura Mercier Product Launch

I had the privilege of attending a launching of Laura Mercier's new products at Rustan's Ayala. Thank you to Pearl of DollFace Cosmetics for the invite.

I didn't really know what was going down that day. All I heard was there was some work shop on how to do make-up.

When we arrived, we registered and sat down. A copy of Zee Lifestyle magazine was provided and complimentary drinks of either champagne or iced tea. I chose iced tea. Well-known make-up artists were there as well, including Jomer of Secanara Hands.

In a matter of minutes, we started the workshop. It was a short seminar on how to do skin care featuring Laura Mercier's new moisturizer. Then, the make-up artist proceeded to preparing the skin with foundation and concealer. He introduced a new product for the eyes which features colors, instead of the standard neutrals from the line. He also showed us the brand's new blush and contour powders that were inspired by the Grand Canyon and plum colors.

While the seminar was going on, people were going to the buffet table to get some food and drinks. I honestly thought it was very noisy and disorganized, but I guess people were too excited about the products. We concentrated on the beautiful model and the transformation. The day time look was altered to fit a night time make-up look. Jomer of Secanara Hands then took over and did the model's hair.

As you can see from the picture, Noe and I were having our own little chit-chat :D
Kristine Roa of InStyle Cebu was also there with us. We had a great time talking about anything and everything under the sun. We wanted to look at the products displayed but we had to wait until the whole workshop thing finished.

When the whole thing was over, we looked at the products, but sadly, they didn't have what we were looking for. The make-up artists that were there offered free make-overs and discounts of all items were given care of Rustan's.

This happened two weeks ago, i think...when I still had a social life. Right now, I have been busy with work and life that I haven't had the time, or energy to go out.

I hope you are all doing better than me!
